Jesús Barquín:Very expressive, almost exuberant, both on nose and palate. Complex, well structured, with good tannic balance—perhaps just slightly sweeter than I would personally desire, though this may be the reason for its comparatively explosive nature versus other wines in this tasting. 17

Richard Mayson:Good, deep color; high-toned with a green edge on the nose; firm and well defined, some very attractive berry fruit, not big or weighty, but well balanced with cherry fruit on the finish. Good middle-distance wine. 14.5

Charles Metcalfe:Sweet, rich, with a definite note of white pepper. Very bright berry fruit as well. The palate is sweet and soft, with very ripe tannins and delightfully bright red fruit. Excellent acidity keeps this fresh and attractive. There’s a chocolaty smoothness that adds to the appeal and freshness all the way through. 17.5
