Jesús Barquín:The nose is somewhat boring, with overripe notes and vanilla aromas that I find disconcerting. Sweetish tannins, correct acidity, and slightly hot finish. 13

Richard Mayson:Very good, deep, opaque color; ripe, peppery, spicy aromas; firm, peppery-spicy flavors, firm tannins, not big or fleshy but fresh, sappy, clean, and well defined. A good, well-balanced, middle-distance wine to drink in 10–15 years or so. 15.5

Charles Metcalfe:Bright, ripe nose of plums and berries. A definite hint of herby Touriga Nacional. Flavors are bright—berries and damson—with hints of chocolate and spice. Acidity is very good, tannins are present but smooth. Bright, lively wine, with freshness and harmony. 16
