Jesús Barquín:Expressive, with firm tannins, clean, long, deftly balancing sweetness, acidity, and tannin. The closing alcoholic spike is a pity. Drier and below [Niepoort], which is in my opinion the greatest wine in this flight. 15.5
Richard Mayson:Good, deep, opaque color; very ripe, slightly stewed and quite overt bilberry and cassis fruit on the nose; soft, sweet berry fruit, initially with tannins building in the mouth, but lacking in depth and dimension and leading to a rather lean finish. 12
Charles Metcalfe:Very spirity nose, with no real fruit density behind. Some caramel, toffee notes. The palate is light and spirity. Tannins are not big but slightly aggressive, fruit is syrupy, and there’s no real length. 11.5
