Stephen Brook:Very deep red, with some brick tones. Surly nose, a touch oxidized, with aromas of old leather. The palate has a better attack than the nose leads one to expect, but there is some greenness, and the tannins are quite dry. Strenuous, earthy, with little flesh or seductiveness. Quite long, with a touch of chocolate on the end. Drink soon.
