Stephen Brook: Deep red, with some brick tones, but still firm and bright. Rich, refined nose, with ample, sweet fruit. It has aromatic depth and a lingering perfume, with some cedary tones and just a hint of boiled sweets. Dense, rich, and still tannic, this has power yoked to sweetness of fruit. Highly concentrated, spicy, and complex, this is magnificent despite the grip of the tannins. Impeccably balanced, with a very long, sweet finish.
