Stephen Brook: Deep red. Muted nose, but there is a sweetness of fruit not evident on younger vintages. The aromas are leafy, delicate, and fragrant. Medium-bodied but intense and tight, with marked acidity that is almost racy. This is very undeveloped but certainly has finesse and persistence, albeit at the expense of flesh and opulence.
