Stephen Brook: Fairly deep brick red. The nose is dense and complex: savory, meaty, leathery, with dried fruits. Very rich, with remarkable heft and concentration. Still tannic but not harsh; robust and spicy. It does lack some acidity, but this is still delicious and fresh, with a touch of chocolate on the finish. It packs a punch, but flavor beats the alcohol. Good length. Would a regular bottle be even better? 18
