Stephen Brook: Fairly deep red, with brick tones on the rim, but still luminous. The nose has charm and suggests sweet and very ripe fruit, but there are also some coffee tones. This has a fine attack for a 50-year-old. Still sweet and ripe, with delicate tannins; concentrated yet bright, lacking a little lift, but sensuous and long. Fully ready. 18
