Serena Sutcliffe: The antithesis of 1979 in terms of yield, with only 28hl/ha,partly due to the high average age of the vines at this time. Vintage took place October 8–10; this was the late miracle year. 12.7% ABV. Very tight-knit nose. Incredibly concentrated. Just so rich and chocolaty. Not entirely ripe at the end, but so emphatic.
