Michel Bettane:Rich color, intense Cabernet spicy and Havana nose, in the Lafite style. Intense, dramatic tannins, very masculine for Comtesse but impressive and so Pauillac! Excellent! 18

Thierry Desseauve:Grande classe! Both Pauillac style—tense and intense—and the more feminine personality of Pichon Comtesse. The wine displays a wonderful and unique profile and will age perfectly. 18.5

Michael Schuster:Ripe, sweet, spicy, and still oaky nose; rich, firm, generously endowed and firmly tannic Comtesse; deep, fleshy, firm, complex, and surprisingly “masculine” for the property; powerful, sweetly ripe flavor, spicy, and very long. A generous and powerful Pichon Lalande, complete, complex, and satisfying but in an unusual, long-term Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated style. Atypically this was nearly two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon in 2006. 2020–35+. 17.5
