Michel Bettane:Broad dark color, nice oaky nose, medium body but good balance; clean taste, nice elegant tannins, easy to drink. 16

Thierry Desseauve: Colorful, spicy and smoky nose, power and flesh, but an austere finish. 15

Michael Schuster:Ripe blackberry on the nose; fresh, plump, concentrated middleweight, with a fine, but fairly firm tannin; the “freshness” of a high proportion of Cabernet Franc clear to taste; ripe and flavory but still quite marked by its new-wood dryness; aromatic, complex, long and savory, good length—but a bit austere compared with the texture of the best. Hope it absorbs that much new oak. Needs 4–5 years. 2014–24+. 16.5
