Alex Hunt: Some presence and lift on the nose, but at the same time rather raisiny and bruised. There’s impressive composure and acid balance on the palate, but this will always be a manifestly “warm-vintage” expression. 86
Andrew Jefford: Deep clear purple-red. Sweet, lively, warm, grainy: some settling through the élevage process evident here, but attractive nonetheless. Tangy, warm, glowing fruit of generous ripeness, all of which is enjoyable; it just lacks a bit of fresh chic for a top score. 84
Peter Liem: The berry-like fruit is fresh and brambly, backed by lively acidity. This is delicious now, but its vibrant demeanor and firm tannins promise further development with age. 89
