Alex Hunt: 82
Andrew Jefford: Dark red-purple, almost opaque: one of the very darkest of this cohort. A little bit gruff and reductive in aroma, by contrast, without a lot of fresh-fruit charm. Firm, chunky, and full on the palate, with that same secondary character that takes you aback after the primary charms of its peers, but this is firm and good—ageworthy, too— and just requires a different drinking occasion. A Côte d’Or style that works well. 90
Peter Liem: This is jammy and ripe, clearly showing the warmth of the vintage. It’s notably tannic on the finish, persisting with concentrated fruit aromas. 86
