John Gilman: The ripeness of the vintage has been handled pretty well at Lynch-Moussas; the wine offers up a ripe nose of cassis, cigar smoke, dark soil tones, espresso, and a touch of new oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, ripe, and a touch foursquare, with a good core of fruit, pretty low acids for the vintage, firm tannins, and really pretty good length and grip on the finish. This is not a bad result for 2010, but a bit more lift on the back end would be welcome. 2017–30+. 15
