Michel Bettane: Good color; cedary nose; middleweight (for St-Estèphe) body but harmonious tannins, from an evidently ripe harvest; more delicacy and class than some other bourgeois. Well made and certainly good value for money 16.5
Thierry Desseauve: The very dry-oaky nose provides a curious but austere feeling. The same in the mouth. We are not amused 14
Michael Schuster: Sweet, cedary nose; brisk and tannic, classic basic St-Estèphe; austere, chewy wine; fruit there, but needing protein-rich food to mollify its tannins. Really needs time. 2014–20 14
