Michel Bettane: Interesting blackberry undertones, good body and texture, classical St-Julien balance, carefully extracted tannins in a classical style. Well made but not top class 16.5

Thierry Desseauve: Round and fruity but without real personality. Disappointing for this cru 15

Michael Schuster: A fine nose, with marked mineral character to smell; very nicely balanced in the firmer style of the year; plenty of fruit within a firm tannin and acid structure; long and complex and satisfying to taste, but also typically Lagrange muscular and backward; needs plenty of time in bottle but will be very good. 2018–30 16.5
