BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Fine, fragrant, ripe-fruited nose; rich, concentrated, firmly tannic wine, with an abundance of ripe fruit framed by a very dry new-wood tannin; intense in flavor, long and complex across the palate, refined and complete, and with great length on the aftertaste—fine Pavie, that is. I just wish this beautiful and refined fruit weren’t so dried by its new-oak component. Will need years to mellow (if it ever does completely). 2022–35+ 17 +
