Michel Bettane: Mineral stonelike elements on the nose; tense, racy, but with less harmonious fruit than Berliquet. Excellent grip in the finish; made for long aging 17
Thierry Desseauve: Very rich and powerful, but still quite difficult to judge at this early stage of its life in bottle. To be retasted 16
Michael Schuster: A seductive nose of super-ripe fruit to smell; full and vital to taste, but with the sweetly ripe fruit gripped by a very dry oak tannin, pinching the wine on the palate and abbreviating its finish. Not a texture that I like, though clearly appealing to some. For me, fine fruit marred by excess wood. Currently a tough prospect if you don’t care for tannin dryness.
