Michael Schuster: A still youthful black-red at ten years old; very fine peppery scent on the nose, sweet black fruit and fine minerals, complete and scented, should make a lovely bouquet; beautifully balanced, elegant, concentrated middleweight, with a fine, silky, but still present tannin; sweet, rich, even, juicy, and prolonged—a lovely blend of complexity, evenness, harmony, and perfume. This is more graceful and less muscular than the 1995, but oh so harmonious and with excellent, perfumed black fruit and lightly peppery length. Accessible relatively early. 2012–30+ (July 2007). 18.5
