Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Muted nose, black cherries, some sweet oak. Rich, broad, almost lush, quite concentrated, solid black fruits, a touch baked and the tannins are a bit dry, but there’s no lack of fruit here. What it does lack is some drive and freshness and persistence. Medium length, with a chunky finish.14
Stephen Browett: A deep color. Black olives, leather, truffles, and exotic spices on the expansive nose. Gorgeously deep and inviting, with truly ripe and dense Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Hints of roast coffee beans and cracked black pepper. A dense, opaque wine with an exotic spicy edge from the new oak. Very impressive. 17
Michael Schuster: Dark red; nicely scented nose, sweet and ripe; medium full, nicely balanced combination of ripe fruit and firmish tannins; a juicily agreeable core fruit, ripe and subtly minerally, nice length in the mouth and nice length to finish as well. An easy, flowing character for the year; relatively harmonious and classy, but will need time to lose the chewiness! From 2014. 15.5
