Stephen Brook: Deep red. Rich plummy nose, quite Merlot in character. Medium-bodied and loose in texture, lacks weight and substance. Has some pleasant cherry and plum fruit but the tannins are quite coarse and dry. Lacks lift and freshness. Dry finish. 12

Stephen Browett: A good, deep color. Ripe fruit on the nose. Attractive ripeness with red cherry fruit and a nice touch of spicy new oak. Plump, with ripe tannins and plenty of weight, this will be an early maturer and will give much pleasure. A lovely, polished effort. Very good value. 15.5

Michael Schuster: Dark red; ripe Merlot-like fruit, and faintly gravelly to smell; well balanced, fullish medium weight wine with a nice ripe fruit, clear mineral element and good minerally length. Nice Médoc. Will always be solid, but satisfying too. From 2010. 14.5
