Stephen Browett: Some fading at the rim. Attractive but straightforward red cherry fruit nose. Charming red fruit on the palate but being served after Ausone in this flight it doesn’t have a chance! Nice texture, subtle oak, delicate fruit. A very decent effort when we think back to its neighbors such as Figeac and La Dominique, but it can’t compete in this flight and is clearly in last place in this company. 16
Andrew Jefford: Deep red-black. Sweet and cedary, elegant, lighter, and fresher than many; pretty. Smooth, soft, floral, graceful; unctuous. Gentle and charming; soft, milky, and open. Engraved. Time for complexity? Driest on finish... Drinking in 5–10 years.
