Stephen Brook: Very deep red, some evolution. Shy nose, with some delicate cherry and vanilla aromas, a touch baked but has an attractive fragrance. Medium-bodied, rather light, flat in texture, furry tannins, light acidity. Drinkable but far from exciting. Modest length and a worrying dryness to the tannins on the finish. 13.5
Michael Schuster: Dark red; odd nose, suggestion of peppery unripeness; palate confirms this impression with a wine of medium weight, but a lack of ripe fruit, and a very dry oak tannin; short, flat, astringent, empty. How can any winemaker think this will ever be pleasant to drink? Positively désagréable! 7
