Stephen Brook: Deep red. Bizarre oaky nose, pungent cherry and blackcurrant fruit. Lean, not very concentrated, has some sweet oak but insufficient fruit to sustain it, rather harsh acidity that suggests not all the fruit is that ripe. Fades fast. Already seems to be at its modest best, so drink while there is still some fruit left. 11.5
Michael Schuster: Dark red; fresh red cherry fruit nose, lightly oaky; medium full, rather fluid, dry edged from the tannin, but essentially a bit empty from a high yield. Slack from low acidity too. Not bad, but overall bland and one dimensional. Drink soon. 11
