BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Pale. Vigorous, lemony nose; fine, lightly cedary oak character; rich, vitally defined wine; bone-dry but abundant in ripe fruit; generous, very savory, complex, and mouth-filling, with vivid lemon-and-mineral length. Grand-scale white Fieuzal but with remarkable elegance and finesse. Should drink well relatively early but keep well, too. The 2009 now seems even better than last year, and if these are as good in bottle, they will be a remarkable pair. 2016–30. 17.5/18.5
