Michel Bettane: Super-dark color, big body, generous, high in alcohol, but tannin in balance. Lots of flesh, completely different from Pontet-Canet, but in this tasting far more friendly! 17

Thierry Desseauve: Black and red fruits, tobacco, rich volume, and great potential; generosity. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Dense, rich, vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon to smell; rich and ample, with plenty of flesh to plenty of fine tannin; deep, ripe, generous wine, complex, fleshy, close-grained, long across the palate, long to finish; complete and satisfying. Powerful and mouth-coating without being overly strong or potent. Splendid Lynch-Bages. Needs eight years minimum. 2018–35. 17
