BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Dark-blue color, refined noble nose, cedary and old-viney texture; splendid body, splendid concentration, everything in marvelous balance; difficult to imagine a more perfect 2006. 19

Thierry Desseauve: The most tense, sculptural, pure, classy, deep wine of the day. Very masculine; very Cabernet style. 19

Michael Schuster: Ripe blackcurrant fruit on the nose; very mineral as well. Rich, generous, full-bodied, and firmly tannic wine; excellent balance, with the Pauillac proximity clear in the style. Deep and resonant flavor; long, ripe, close-grained, old-viney character; mouth-coating, complex, vivid, and very long to finish. A wine of considerable presence and scope, needing at least another decade in bottle. Very fine. 2020–35+. 18
