Michel Bettane: Same conservative winemaking as Bélair but richer texture, riper fruit; noble tannin, excellent oak, and excellent class. A classical wine, made for drinking not for tasting. 17.5
Thierry Desseauve: More intensity than Bélair: red-fruit aromas; very pure mouth, with tight and fine-grained tannins; length. Brilliant. 17.5
Michael Schuster: Sweetly ripe nose, quite mineral as well; nicely balanced, rich middleweight St-Emilion, with a very fine tannin; long, fresh, and even, with a marked minerality of aroma and complexity and with excellent length; a fine limestone Côte wine; slight austerity suggests 4–5 more years needed. 2014–22+. 16.5
