Michel Bettane: Black intense color, steady, strong and noble aroma, beginning only to sing; immense body, but perfectly in balance with alcohol and tannin; built for 30 years’ or more aging; intense but classical; great wine. Black-truffle-like finish. 18.5
Thierry Desseauve: A sculptural wine but with a perfect fine silk-tannin; linear, powerful, and pure Bordeaux. 18.5
Michael Schuster: Deep, sweet nose; dense, almost raisiny to smell; rich, generous, potent, tannic wine, with enormous flavor, the slightly raisiny quality there is on the nose, and a very firm tannin, too. Strong, potent, and chewy, where the ripeness of fruit, low yield, and wood texture tend to dominate all else for the present. Fine length. Will need a decade more in bottle at the very least. 2020–35+ 17.5
