Michel Bettane: Good color, slightly animal undertones in the nose, a lot of iron-like elements in the taste; wine for poultry but less pure and complete than expected. 14.5

Thierry Desseauve: Red-fruit aromas with a hint of toast. Fresh on the palate, acidity and soft tannins, honest and straightforward; not as complex as the best wines. 15.5

Michael Schuster: Fresh, lightly oaky, and quite mineral to smell; nicely balanced in a lighter mold; moderate concentration, light but firm tannin (a touch oak dry?); still a little severe in impression, mature fruit core and mineral flavor, moderate complexity and quite aromatic to taste, with a light, medium length. Will be good—if it absorbs its wood tannin. Not as harmonious as I remember it. Needs 2–4 years. 2013–18? 15.5
