BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Less perfect body and texture, but clean, nice ripe aromas; not a great complexity, a touch of spicy tannin, less elegant than ideal. Good but not special. 14.5

Thierry Desseauve: The toasty and oaky aromas are predominant. The wine evolves in the mouth with a creamy style; very comfortable but lacking vigor and depth. Hedonistic style; in the end a bit tiring. 15.5

Michael Schuster: Warm, plummy, fruitcake Merlot nose; very nicely balanced, fresh, supple, medium-full wine; nice concentration, with a light, fine tannin; nice length in the mouth, gently fleshy, elegant, stylish middle-rank Pomerol, with gentle complexity and good, scented aromatic length. Attractive already but better in a couple of years. Lovely Merlot character, nice interpretation of the vintage. 2012–22. 16
