Michel Bettane: Dark color, solid but pure earthy notes, very classical body; true to type and terroir, firm tannin but not a drying one, no-nonsense wine—good stuff for aging. 17

Thierry Desseauve: Luminous and deep color. Oaky nose, but elegant. Silky tannins, perfect balance, very classic and very pure linear style. A highly civilized wine. From 5 to 15 years. 18

Michael Schuster: Dense and minerally to smell; nicely balanced, fresh, fairly supple, textured wine with a fine, dry, moderate tannin; ripe flavor, quite gravelly in aroma, nice complexity and completeness, good sweet length; not fleshy, but fine and complete. Good 2006, good Gazin, lovely Pomerol. 2013–20+. 16.5
