Michel Bettane: Blue-red, spicy phenolic notes from not perfect skins in the berries, drier tannins, no charm, solid, foursquare, but here we understand 2006 was not so easy in this area. 14
Thierry Desseauve: Fruity, round style, soft tannins, but the end of the mouth lacks of purity and energy. 13
Michael Schuster: Dense, ripe, blackberry fruit, impressive nose; well-constituted, fairly concentrated wine with a firm structure but adequate matter behind; tannin and acid make this currently fairly severe and seeming a touch extracty in character, sinewy. Good fruit core and excellent fruit persistence, but lacking point in refinement. Will need a long time to soften: 6–8 years minimum. 2016–30. 16
