BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane: Great color, magnificent texture, noble taste, noble tannin; not far from perfection in the matter of extracting the best from the grape; classical Bordeaux balance, excellent quality of oak. Great wine. 18.5

Thierry Desseauve: Intense and pure, super-elegant, with great balance. Like Nenin, a masculine style but maybe more elegant and aristocratic. 19.5

Michael Schuster: Densely ripe blackcurrant-and-blackberry Merlot fruit to smell; generous, fleshy, and beautifully balanced rich middleweight Pomerol, firmly but finely tannic; deep, ripe, savory fruit; fresh, fleshy, long, complex, and complete; a fine, characteristically firm, but complete Trotanoy, with excellent length of both fruit and minerality. Everything one wants and expects from a grand Pomerol. 2016–34. 18.5
