Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep dense black-red. Excellent aromatic profile: poised, buffed cologne-freshened fruits; quiet oak; earth. Pomerol is springtime mood. Vivid, full, rich, earthy, long… but all very gracefully done, with considerable elegance and finesse, though some might find the oak a bit obtrusive. Lovely textures, poise, and lift. Very true to its vintage, I think, despite its evident density; this is not a wine from a lighter year trying to be a wine from a richer year; but the attention to detail is such that it all of the ample sensual satisfaction which this appellation should provide. Impressive concentration, too. 2018–26. 91
