BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Denis Durantou’s legendary wine doesn’t disappoint in this already legendary vintage. The wine is serious but also ethereal and taut, with amazing depth and incredible potential. Certainly one of the best wines of the year. 19.5

Michael Schuster: Gently roasted nose, ripe black cherry and mineral; rich and restrained at once; fairly full, elegantly concentrated, very finely textured, noticeably fresh and moderately tannic wine; a deliciously sweet fruit that is energetic, thoroughbred, racy, fragrant; power without any feeling of force, warmly, delicately mouth-coating, subtly minerally, with a long and splendidly perfumed, sweet aftertaste. A richly imposing Pomerol of remarkable freshness and great persistence. 2020–40. 18/18.5
