Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Deep color; rich notes of cedar, the terroir shines through; lots of energy, expertly vinified. 17
Michael Schuster: A mid-weight St-Estephe, finely, firmly tannic; a fine, fresh, ripe- fruit core, with no excess astringency of tannin; long and juicy to taste, with an attractive complexity on the mid-palate and good, light length. currently just a little “gripped” by the new wood. None of the rusticity there used to be. 2020–35. 16
