Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Petit Cheval shines as it does in previous vintages: wonderfully refined flavors, smooth and voluptuous, bright fruit, not super- concentrated but amazing finesse. 18
Michael Schuster: Freshly fruity nose; very nicely balanced, fresh, finely tannic, moderately concentrated; a sweet, juicy core of fruit within a very gentle, fine oak tannin, long, sweet, flowing, and fine; very cheval blanc in style, very long in the mouth, with splendid length for a petit cheval, as good as some of the grands vins of the past. Neither thick nor dense, but with great class for a second wine. Subtle, perfumed, silky, complete. a remarkable Petit Cheval—to buy at the right price. 2018–30. 17.5
