BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A pretty, elegant color; floral, with red fruit and violets on the nose; dense on the palate, with nice acidity, subtle and well integrated, with a soft menthol finish. Lots of personality, too. 18.5

Michael Schuster: A sweetly ripe nose with a fine minerality; a beautifully poised balance, rich and fresh and fleshy, with a typically fine, firm tannin structure; an excellent core of concentrated ripe fruit, mineral- suffused, long to taste, long to finish, with a vivid but not intrusive fresh acidity, that violet- scented, creamy-textured character of the best pomerols, and very fine length. contained power, real complexity, freshness, definition, and matter: a classy, regal beauty. A weak vintage? What weak vintage? This is certainly one of the wines of the vintage. Splendid. 2025–35+. 18.5
