Tim Atkin: Mid-garnet, with orange highlights. attractive, nuanced, old- fashioned style of Sangiovese. Quite ripe and soft and alcoholic, with a hint of Va and overripeness. Palate a little hot and jammy but saved by refreshing acidity. the finish is rather soupy and sweet. 13.5
Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth. Another fine-tuned wine aromatically, subtle herbs and incense. more guts on the palate— not as together now as iondi-Santi Tenuta Greppo] but has the structure (tannins, acids) and fruit base to go far. Explosive, outstanding, amazing length. drink from 2015 for 20 years. 17.5
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Open, transparent, mature black-and- red-fruit nose with prunes, candied oranges, rosewater and hints of tobacco leaf. Lively, elegant, mature and complex palate, very refined and pleasant, with clean, long finish. 17.5
