Andrew Jefford: Pale gold in color. A rich fruit spectrum: emphatic yellow summer fruits, with a hint of guava and also a hint of banana. Forthright and enjoyable. Dry and firm, with some developing vinosity, though relatively low alcohol levels mean that the fruit spectrum still dominates the palate. Here there is more apple and grapefruit among the yellow fruits. Properly dry but not austerely so, with soft, ripe acidity perfectly bonded to the fruit components and a satisfying sense of overall proportion and harmony. There is minerality, too, curling in from the edge of the tongue, making for a complex, dry, but satisfying finish. A very successful wine, and a lovely light mealtime Riesling. 16.5

Andreas Larsson: A rather intense nose that shows a high ripeness, with stone-fruit and mineral aromas. The palate is full and dry, with plenty of fruit, a well-balanced juicy acidity, good length, and a nicely firm and steely finish. 15.5

Stephan Reinhardt: Intense yellow color. Intense, deep, and ripe-fruit aromas still covered by yeasty layers. Late picking of homogenous ripe berries, thus almost tropical but mixed with spicy slate aromas. Rich and round on the palate, melting ripe fruit with minerals and complexity. Very powerful and intense. Well structured and dry, very salty and persistent. This is definitely no breakfast wine. However, it is a serious wine with great expression and potential, representing a newer, postmodern German Riesling style that is definitely not Jugendstil. Lay down for three to ten years. 17
