Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Robust, black fruits nose, a bit charred but no lack of freshness. Fairly rich, suave, concentrated, some lift and spice, vigorous though also rather attenuated on the aftertaste, with some dryness on the finish. Shows skilful winemaking coping with less than ideal fruit quality. But a decent effort, for all the lack of finesse. 15

Stephen Browett: Good, dark color, impressive black fruit and licorice nose. Serious and solid, proper Pauillac. Some classic structure here, suggesting that it will benefit from a few years in bottle. Very good performance. 16

Michael Schuster: Very dark red; fine, new oak cedar and mineral nose; good fruit at present dominated by new wood and fruit tannin, so “chewy” as to be both difficult to assess now, and for the future. Medium length after a relatively “fluid” core. I feel there is quality here, but will it emerge from the tannin? From 2015. 15
