Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great style and depth: sinewy length, plenty of sap, but with very refined tannins and unmistakable class on the finish. 18
Michael Schuster: Inky color; dense, closed nose, slightly spirity and noticeably oaky at present; firm, linear, sinewy, concentrated wine with a lively acidity and very firm tannic frame; fresh, ripe, and long in the mouth, a powerful style of St-Emilion, and with excellent length. Quality is clear, if the power and structure give this wine a rather forbidding austerity at the moment. Will need plenty of bottle age to mellow. 2020–35+. 16.5/17+
