Michael Schuster: Black-purple; intense nose of ripe blackberry and cassis; a superb balance—rich, generous, velvety wine with fine, firm tannin; wonderfully compact, with a striking charge of exotically spiced sweet, mineral-backed, dark fruit—fleshy, close-wrought, long, complex, freshly vibrant. And yet for all the excitement, this remains remarkably elegant, beautifully defined, and with wonderful length. An effortlessly creamy, great Pomerol.
