Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Stunning bouquet of fresh red-berry fruit; very refined tannins; ripe, concentrated length; stunningly natural expression. A wine of awesome persistence. 16.5
Michael Schuster: Dense and oaky to smell, with a faintly herbal edge to it at the moment; fairly concentrated but not in any way burly or thick; plenty of matter, vivid in acidity, firm in tannin; warm, sapid, spicy wine full of ripe, black fruit, satisfyingly rich yet without excess. Very good indeed. 2012–20+. 15.5/16.5+
