Stephen Brook: Muted lime-and-apricot nose. A rich and powerful style, with breadth of fruit and a lush texture. There’s a hint of residual sugar here, but it’s balanced by a mineral tone and graininess of texture, so it doesn’t detract. The wine has some weight and finesse and an enlivening tanginess, and nothing jars. Should age well. 17.5
Simon Larkin: Rich, ripe aromas of peach, greengage, Cox’s apple, and slate—really quite forthright as a style. The most mineral so far; there is a marked slatiness about this wine. Good volume, quite appley in nature. There is a certain rasp of acidity here. Very Germanic in style, with fruit held in check and minerality in the ascendant. A fine showing, with notable length and persistence. 15
Andreas Larsson: Pure and fruity on the nose, with hints of peach and raspberry. Gently spicy on the palate, sweet fruit balanced by a juicy acidity. Good length. A nice example—still a bit on the young side but very promising. 16
