Stephen Brook: Voluptuous, tropical-fruit nose, clearly picked at an extreme of ripeness. Broad, sumptuous, and a touch overripe, this is also rather soft in texture. There is a slight mineral tang but not quite enough to moderate the lavish fruitiness. It needs more acidity and drive to keep it lively and interesting on the palate. Admirable fruit, but too much of a good thing. 15

Simon Larkin: Rich in terms of aroma, and echoed on the palate; this is a loose-knit, viscous style. The fruit errs on the tropical side, with almost guava-like character, as well as the notes one finds in warmer-vintage Viognier—a little baked, with some loss of focus. This is layered but relatively straightforward. Tangy enough, with good persistence. 11

Andreas Larsson: Very intense and concentrated nose, showing minerals, ripe apricot, and a good deal of complexity. The palate has a very good bite and a rich structure, well balanced, with a zesty freshness and opulent fruit. The aftertaste is very long, with a marked spiciness. Very good material. Enjoyable right now, but with the potential to go on for a long time yet. 19
