Michael Schuster: Dark, narrow rimmed red, just starting to brick; discretely stylish St Julien nose, finely mineral tinged Cabernet, full of promise; as elegantly balanced on the palate as on the nose; fresh, fine middleweight claret with a firm, refined tannin, and lovely refined, raspberry sweet, yet ‘claret dry’ flavour; no lack, no excess, long in the mouth, subtly complex, and with good length to finish. Drinkable already, but the tannin a bit firm, better in 2-3 years. Harmonious, classy 4th Growth. 2012-25+.
