Michael Schuster: Very dark, narrow rimmed black red; dense nose of ripe red fruit, minerals and a touch of farmyard; Nicely balanced, moderately concentrated, fresh middleweight with a refined, firm tannin; vivid, ripe blackcurrant fruit, long, pure, close knit and even in flavour, with a crisply defining acidity, clear light minerality, and good aromatic length. Fine Gruaud, fairly solid, a bit austere at present, but this has all the component parts for long term harmony. Needs quite a while more in bottle. 2018-30+
