BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Fresh, ripe cassis to smell; full, powerful, and finely tannic around a flowing central core; ripe, spicy, warm, generous, and fleshy for a second wine, with a clear mineral background, and a good, firm, fruit-cored length. Power and weight, but not “bulk,” come to mind. Will be very satisfying as a weightier style of second wine. 2014–22. 15/15.5+
